So I felt like utter shite today. Exhausted, about to pass out, trembly, dizzy, hard to breathe.
I called my doc; they told me to go to the ER.
While in the waiting room, I realized I was so exhausted and dizzy because I was having trouble breathing.
I explained all of this to the docs.
So a nurse comes in to do an EKG (which was perfectly normal) and draw blood. IV or blood-drawing needles, if you’ve not seen one lately, look like this:

The ends of the plastic are hollow. They are supposed to be connected to something. My nurse was a fucking idiot. She put it into my arm without connecting it to anything. Meaning there was blood coming out of the end of it. Onto my arm. And the bed.
Well, she shoved the correct piece of plastic tubing onto it and that stopped, but i was a little freaked out by that.
They did all sorts of blood tests - electrolytes, iron, god knows what fucking else. Pregnancy, lol. All of it was normal. Not dehydrated or overheated. My blood pressure was normal, and didn’t change drastically when I stood up etc.
There was only one thing off: my pulse rate was about 30 bpm higher than it normally is. The doc came back in and basically was like “Oh hey, you seem to be okay, cool, wanna go after you get done with that bag of saline?”
Um… yeah, dude, I am extremely incoherent, having spatial problems and balance problems, can’t think properly, and have told you I have trouble breathing. I explained it to you in terms of “I’m really dizzy and I don’t feel right… kinda like… like… I’m really dizzy and I can’t really stay balanced… um… yeah…” WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME.
“Oh, well, lemme let the respiratory lady come in and listen to you and give you an inhaler, see if that helps!”
She does so; it doesn’t help much. I feel a little better now, though. I think it’s due to the inhaler, namely how it makes it easier for me to breathe and therefore get some air into my bloodstream/brain.
But what was wrong with me? Still no damn clue. The hospital basically told me they couldn’t tell, so I was fine and bye.
